1Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbits, ┌and┐ the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order. In ii-v. 3 the order of nature is contrasted with the disorder of man’s world. In Test. Naph. iii. 2, 3, men are told to observe God's law as sun, moon, and stars observe their appointed order, and the Watchers who left their natural order are held up as a warning. Cf. Sirach xvi. 26-28, Pss. Sol. xviii. 12-14. 2Behold ye the earth, and give heed to the things which take place upon it from first to last, ┌how steadfast they are┐, how ┌none of the things upon earth┐ change, ┌but┐ all the works of God appear ┌to you┐. 3Behold the summer and the winter, ╓how the whole earth is filled with water, and clouds and dew and rain lie upon it╖.[The Hebrews had two seasons only. Summer and Winter. Cf. Gen. viii. 22, Isa. xviii. 6, Zech. xiv. 8.]
