1 Enoch 3:1

In 1 translation

1En-Charles
Observe and see how (in the winter) all the trees ╓seem as though they had withered and shed all their leaves, except fourteen trees, which do not lose their foliage but retain the old foliage from two to three years till the new comes. On the fourteen evergreen trees see Geoponica xi. 1. The twelve trees (see my Greek Verss. of Test, of xii Patr., pp. 248, 249) for use with sacrifices have nothing to do with this list here. The Greek has lost iii. 1ᵇ v. 1ͣ through homoeoteleuton.
