1 Enoch 13:4

In 1 translation

1En-Charles

And they besought me to draw up a petition for them that they might find forgiveness, and to read their petition in the presence of the Lord of heaven.4, 5. As the angels could not address God nor lift up their eyes to heaven, Enoch is besought to become their intercessor. As a scribe, he draws up their petition in writing, and does not present it by word of mouth.
